I make no secret of my love for Taylor Swift. Im in no way embarrassed about it despite getting a little bit of stick from friends. As soon as her new album was released I made sure to download it straight away and I am so glad I did! It is amazing and definitely her best one yet. When I noticed this tag doing its rounds, I had to do it.
1. Welcome to New York. If you could live in any city, which would it be and why?
I would actually go for New York. This has always been a dream of mine which has probably stemmed from my Friends addiction. The atmosphere, the skyscrapers, the coffee shops, the bright lights etc all excite me.
2. Blank Space. What is something that everyone thinks is true about you but is actually false?
I have always had social anxiety to the point where if I can avoid social situations like going to places where I would have to talk to people I don't know, I would. When people meet me for the first time they presume that i'm stuck up. This has been said to me a few times and I am most certainly not. In fact I find people intimidating and i'm extremely shy.
3. Style. What is one item in your closet that makes you feel unstoppable?
My little black skater dress. It is one of the few items of clothing that I own where I can feel slim, smart and confident.
4. Out of the Woods. What is one thing that you're afraid of?
I have a few things that I am afraid of, but mostly I'm afraid of fire. I couldn't imagine waking up in the middle of night to smoke. I'm also really afraid of driving which sounds silly to most people. I lost a close friend six years ago in an accident and it really affected me. Recently someone else i'm close to was involved in a very serious RTA but luckily currently recovering well in Hospital.
5. All You Had To Do Was Stay. Who is someone you wish was still in your life?
My Mum I guess.We have never had a relationship since I was twelve and I wish things were different.
6. Shake It Off. What is something you have had to shake off?
People judging me and talking behind my back. I hate it. I get judged a lot for being a single mum and they think I cant cope. Also when people talk about my breakup with my husband. It was blamed on me but it wasn't my fault so I have to shake off the comments I hear. I try to concentrate on the people who love and care about me and not the ones who don't.
7. I Wish You Would. What is something you'd like to happen right now?
I wish someone could hand me a winning lottery ticket. I bet everyone said that answer though.
8. Bad Blood. Have you ever had someone stab you in the back?
Yes. A close friend betrayed me back when I was in the military and got me into a bit of trouble, including damaging my end of year report which you need for promotions. It hurt because I trusted her as a friend but she used me to get ahead with the bosses.
9. Wildest Dreams. What would you like to be remembered for?
For making the most out of life and living through many adventures. Also for raising two amazing little boys who I know will go on to do great things.
10. How You Get The Girl. What is your favourite pick-up line?
I have heard a few cheesy ones in my time. They tend to turn me off though so i guess I don't really have one.
11. This Love. What is something you got back that you never thought you would?
My best friend from school. I joined the military straight from college as I wanted so much to get away from my home town. I recently moved back after ten years away and my friend was still here waiting for me. I love her to pieces and don't know what I would do without her.
12. I Know Places. Where is one place you always feel safe?
With my dad. I am so lucky to have a father like him and I am so grateful for everything he does for me.
13. Clean. What is an important lesson you have learned in life?
You are going to make bad decisions in life and things aren't going to work out the way you wanted them to. It is how you deal with the downfalls which makes you a better person. You can either choose happiness and move on or you can choose sadness and stay hidden. Always choose happiness.
