15/52: The last day of our holidays

The children returned to me over the weekend after spending most of their Easter break with their Dad. I was so pleased to have them home and wanted to take them out for one last special day before heading back to school on Monday. We decided to take a walk around the Plymouth waterfront as it was a very sunny day. I didn't take my camera with me because I just wanted to concentrate on having fun with the children but I did take a few sneaky shots on my mobile which are below.

We watched the fish in the harbour, took a ride on the carousel and had a very large plate of fish and chips in our favourite restaurant. There was also a pirate ship in the harbour which I did take a picture of but frustratingly, it was accidentally deleted while uploading, but the children loved exploring the ship.

These past two weeks have flown by but the children have had so much fun during their break. I can't believe how fast time is going and how grown up the boys are becoming. They now say long words like rhetorical and contemplating. They quote sayings that I didn't know they knew and will even recite poetry at random times. I love how intelligent they have become and how often they surprise me.
