Yesterday was World book day which was a day my eldest son Alfie had been really looking forward too. Tom's school decided not to allow the children to dress up this year which I can understand why. Tom however really felt left out of all the fun. We made it up to him after school though.
Alfie's costume choice kept changing throughout the week and we got into many discussions about what he should wear. The school was offering a prize for best costume so Alfie's competitive streak kicked in and he began to draw up some ideas. However, Thursday came round very quickly and we still didn't have a costume ready. We decided to scrap making a costume this year and instead had a last minute scramble through his dressing up box. He has every superhero costume available but nothing really to go with a book character. We did find the long lost harry potter cape and I thought perfect but Alfie decided he was really set on being a superhero. Then there was the massive decision of what superhero to be. We tried on every costume until he decided on Batman. I think he makes a pretty cute batman (don't tell him I said he is cute, badass is what he likes to be called). What do you think?

A very cute *cough* badass *cough* Batman.
ReplyDeleteI popped over from the Truly Madly Kids linky :)
Sooo badass! We did something similar, had a look through what we already had so Archie went as Pooh Bear but he is only 2 so he was cute!
